Amazing thinkers – Black is Beautiful

I discovered Angela Davis in the 1989 or 90 while living in London. I read her essay(s) Women, Race, & Class (1983) or Women, Culture & Politics (1990) — need to find the book(s) and re-read!
I discovered Toni Morrison‘s essay on how whites perceive blacks, “Playing in the Dark: Whiteness and the Literary Imagination” (1992) (Toni Morrison at mujerpalabra.net) and then went on to read some of her novels.
I would like to say these two women are courageous and brilliant thinkers, possibly two of the most intelligent people I have ever read. Enjoy!
